PTI and SteelBlue Partner to Launch Turnkey Self-Storage Solution

PTI Security Systems, part of ASSA ABLOY and the global leader in self-storage access control technologies, and SteelBlue, the innovative manufacturer of roll-up door and hallway systems, are combining their newest patent-pending designs: PTI’s cutting-edge ProEdge Bluetooth smart latch and SteelBlue’s state-of-the-art 9530 Series roll-up door will be available to operators as a two-in-one solution in the first quarter of 2024.

With self-storage consumers' increasing demand for automation and a stronger desire for enhanced unit security, operators need to leverage technology to keep and attract tenants. Pairing the newest offerings from PTI Security Systems and SteelBlue Building Components makes available both companies’ expertise and the latest innovations in a best-in-format solution for any self-storage design.

The manufacturing of PTI’s ProEdge electromechanical Bluetooth latch onto SteelBlue’s unit doors before delivery to job sites streamlines both installation and configuration, offering greater convenience for operators as they work to meet and exceed tenant security needs.

The ProEdge latch features next-gen BLE Bluetooth technology coupled with EasyCode connectivity. Tenants have easier unit access at a greater range. The battery-powered latch supports quick installation and service with a secure four-bolt design and left- or right-hand orientation.

The 9530 Series Roll-Up Door features a high-quality industry-standard seamed panel profile with a robust patent-pending hood designed to reinforce and protect the door from damage. The improvements to the shorter guide and wear stripes, combined with a symmetrical head top and hood plate, allow for quieter operation and faster installation.

The two companies will debut their combined solution at SSA in Las Vegas on September 7-8, 2023. Demonstrations will be at Booth #441 (PTI) and Booth #613 (SteelBlue).
